Neighbourhood Houses Sector Web Library
The effectiveness of the Neighbourhood House sector (NH sector), Association of Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres (ANHLC) and the Regional Neighbourhood House Networks (NH Networks) is enhanced by the development, availability, and application of a range of targeted resources designed to strengthen the NH sector and assist members in the operation of their Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres.
This web library provides a central point where quality assured material, endorsed by the sector is readily available. The resources are specifically tailored to Houses and have been assessed for relevance, currency and high quality.
It facilitates the best use of limited funds and resources and avoids repetitive, inconsistent provision of essential training and documents to the sector. Its easy accessibility makes it a great tool for new coordinators and those Houses in Networks where Networker hours are minimally funded.
We aim to promote a culture where the material developed within Houses and Networks is shared more broadly across the sector, by taking a coordinated approach to source and filter the material and to provide consistent and inclusive access to training modules.
Neighbourhood House Good Practice Guide
The GPG Self-Assessment is an ongoing process that will ensure the structure and practices of the neighbourhood house are sustainable and will assist in delivering a high quality service to the community.
